Michael Viñas van Hoogwaarden (b. 1985, The Netherlands) is an artist residing in the Arnhem-Nijmegen green metropolitan area in The Netherlands.

In 2020, he completed the Professional Photography course at Nederlandse Academie voor Beeldcreatie (NAVB), also known as De Fotovakschool. Becoming familiar with photography at a later stage in his life, Michael paved his way through different fields of photography. He initially developed himself as a versatile photographer. After pursuing several fields of photography, he entered a space where he could express his visual mind.

Moving to a village, experiencing life in a rural area and the love for the 70’s era had a tremendous impact, providing him a gaining interest in the suburbia culture and documenting the rural surroundings. While intrigued by foreign influences, Michael incorporates domestic features in a societal and cultural sense.
